Black Watch Productions, Inc. has been on the front line of the Digital Content explosion with our collection of projects incorporating multi-level, live-action filming coordinating with digital events online.

Our portfolio consists of elaborate live events (Moto X, Country Crock, Motorola Unboxing), as well as webisodes, internet spots and theatrical promotions. These included a series of Mother’s Day videos for Beech-Nut Baby Foods and a live cookie-making event at a supermarket for Country Crock. Our work on the groundbreaking Moto 21in1 project for VML was shortlisted for two Silver Lions in Cannes and won the Adweek Isaac Award.

    DESCRIPTION: Virtual production shoot, featuring the LED wall and rear screen projection as part of the 2020 Inforum, the global conference from Infor, forced to be virtual in the year of Covid. Multi-day, multi-camera shoot, shot at the Infor headquarters in NYC.

    DESCRIPTION: This amazing digital content project involved taking a still photo (by noted tableaux photographer, Ryan Schude) with the new 21 pixel camera of the Moto X; the scene was divided into a group of 21 squares, and we shot 21 videos, many with interconnecting stories, with over 60 cast members, on the boardwalk at Coney Island. Short listed for 2 Silver Lions at Cannes, and winner of several other awards as well.

    • Country Crock “Cookie Bake”

    DESCRIPTION: Live baking event for Country Crock, where real customers of a suburban supermarket designed their own cookie cutters and then used them to bake cookies on the spot. Black Watch provided all production services for Story Wordwide; shot on location in Morristown, NJ.

    DESCRIPTION: This is a promo reel for the BBC Autos web series, Real Live Test Drive, for which we produced 12 episodes over two seasons. All shot with real cars, driven by real people in real locations, from New York to San Diego.

    • Moto Z – “The Unboxing-chicago”

    DESCRIPTION: Live unboxing event for the JBL MotoZ phone, which consisted of a pop-up at a Chicago rock club, featuring a comedian MC-jazz band-trivia game, where the winner came up on stage and did the unboxing of an unreleased Moto Z phone that came with a special JBL speaker. Shot and edited the piece in one day and got it on social platforms the next day as part of the product launch, while a similar event was being shot concurrently in NYC.
